Answers to Your Pool Questions

Frequently asked questions

We’re here to help, whether you’re just starting out or need advice for your dream pool.

How much does it cost to install a pool?

The cost of installing a pool varies widely based on factors like the type of pool, size, materials, and location. Feel free to drop us a line and we can talk about what pool design would be a good fit for your backyard!

What’s the timeline for a pool installation?

Construction time varies based on the design and size of the pool, the weather and approval by certifiers or councils. Typically, it takes around 8 week. We’ll provide you with a clear timeline for the installation process so you know exactly what to expect. You can learn about the process here.

What are the ongoing maintenance requirements and costs?

Fiberglass pools are low-maintenance but still need regular care. Key tasks include balancing water chemistry, cleaning debris, brushing surfaces, maintaining the filter and pump, and winterizing with a cover and chemicals. Chemical costs range from $300–$600 annually, while professional maintenance services can cost $1,000–$2,000 per year for regular visits.

What size and shape pool would work best for my space?

The best size and shape of a pool depend on your backyard’s dimensions, intended use, and aesthetic preferences. We recommend meeting together at the site to discuss all your options.

Are there any specific permits or approvals required in my area?

Yes, permits are required. New Vision Pools typically uses a Private Certifier for Complying Development Applications (CDC). In some cases, a Development Application (DA) may be needed, such as when the pool is in the front yard, close to a boundary or house, or the property has special zoning.
